"It's hard to remember now, but... I think... at the time... I took photos of what I was most afraid to lose."
Cameras
I have a little collection of cameras- 4 "modern", 4 vintage, 8 total. Most of them are inherited (my family is full of hoarders who happened to have old cameras in storage somewhere that they were kind enough to pass down). Of the vintage ones, not all are functional- yet. But photography is something I'm very autistic about, and I love learning about how each camera works :).
This website is a work in progress (because i know almost no html at this point lol), but i'm planning to have an image of each of my cameras below that you can click on to see its specs. Ideally, that would include photos i've taken with it, but AI has become so prevalent across the internet that I am actually terrified of posting them on the offchance my shit gets scraped without consent! yayyy!! i do have a flickr but i don't post my shit on there for the same reason.
anyway, the images below technically have links but i haven't made a page for each yet, so clicking on it will just lead to an error screen. once ive figured out what i want it to lead to it will work, but for now the images don't do anything lol.
Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS (2008)
she's my main bitch. was my mother's old camera from the 2000s that I then stole from her (she was kind enough to let me). small enough that i can take her pretty much anywhere, and is convenient enough for me to use frequently (as it's digital, i can get the photos off very easily and don't have to worry about any film shit). my only digital, i love her more than life itself.
Minolta Riva Zoom 70w (early 2000s)
fancy lil zooming 35mm cam that my dad bought in like 2003, and eventually gave me when i started getting autistic abt photography. very satisfying to use but it belongs to my dad so i'm very cautious about taking it anywhere and actually using it.
Kodak M35 (current)
a shitty little 35mm that i got on ebay. very boxy/plastic-y, and it winds manually (which was very confusing originally, but i learned). i like the click it makes when winding. it's cheap/shitty enough that i feel comfortable bringing it places. since it took me so long to understand what i was doing, i haven't taken it out that much yet. but this next year she's definitely coming with me a bit more.
