totally just a coincidence that once ai started being developed and put fucking EVERYWHERE (plus obviously the huge amounts of israeli bombings on palestine), it stopped snowing on mt fuji and in greenland, and america was ravaged by wildfires. right?

the knowledge that usage of generative ai takes a fuck ton of water and is terrible for the environment is widespread. continuing to develop and push ai products despite knowing this is a direct and deliberate choice by big ceos that proves they Do Not give a shit about the environment or the common man. we're at the point in the lorax movie where the onceler chooses profit over the forest and begins mass producing.

and that's not even to mention the implications for digital security/privacy, etc.

imagine how much better off we would be if humanity used our resources properly rather than burning the earth away to generate ai porn of underage cartoon characters (or god forbid, underage girls on the internet). or to talk to fictional characters / fictional interpretations of REAL PEOPLE. or to do BASIC tasks that you don't care enough to do yourself. can you imagine thinking to yourself, "ugh i don't want to put thought into this email, time to burn down 3 more trees in return for a shitty soulless response to it!"

not to be an anarchist on main but for the love of god can we kill elon musk too? zuckerberg? bezos? i am SO SICK of watching the world burn around me with nothing i can do.
